It's a nice name, but presumably you've chosen it because you have a non English connection?

Is there a family name you really like, is Ivo the family name and you could just go with something you fancy.

James is always good.

Thanks so much for all your suggestions so far. Ivo is a name in my family tree that i've always loved (Jewish-European), I understand it won't be for everyone! We are also currently living in Europe and our older son has a similarly German / Dutch name (Ivo is more popular there, as well as in the Nordic countries). We will pronounce it eye-vo (like a male version of Ivy), but some do pronounce it ee-vo. James is an obvious choice, but I'm reluctant to use it as have many James' in my life already! @DappledThings Joseph is a lovely choice, but one of my best friends has this as her son's middle name. Lots of three syllable choices, which was my initial instinct. Ivo Rafael is a current front runner.
