Middle name for Nina...

Due in 5 weeks and pretty sure on Nina for 1st name (other contender is Phoebe but just don't think I like it quite as much!)

We like the name Emilia but don't think we want to use as 1st name as likely to get called Amelia and its just so popular at the moment. DPs grandma was Lily and he was very close to her so would potentially like to use that.

DS has 2 middle names so ideally would have 2 for this one too.

Does Nina Emilia Lily just sound too much?! Not sure if too many syllables!! Although she wouldn't actually get called by her middle names so not sure if it matters...

I love Nina . A short name after Lily flows well imo. As you point out though it’s not often you would say all 3 names together so am not sure it is such a problem if they are a bit of a mouthful together.
Nina Lily Fay
Nina Lily Rose
Nina Lily Jay
Nina Lily Anna/Anne

I would prefer a consonant after Nina.

Nina Lily Emilia works better than Nina Emilia Lily imo.

Or Nina Phoebe Lily?

Romemarie · 11/10/2020 11:50

Nina Leanne Lily
Or Nina Lily Leanne?

Or maybe just Nina Lily

micc · 11/10/2020 17:25

Nina Lily May? Or Ninia Lily Maeve?

micc · 11/10/2020 17:26

I do have to admit I think Nina Lily on it's own sounds lovely

pilates · 11/10/2020 17:34

Nina Lily

I like names that honour deceased family members especially if there was a close bond.

MaryBoBary · 11/10/2020 17:36

When I saw the title my first thought was Nina Rae

M0mmyneedswine · 11/10/2020 17:48

Nina lily emilia sounds nicer to me

escourtie · 11/10/2020 18:24

@micc

Nina Lily May? Or Ninia Lily Maeve?
I second these 2 choice just beautiful x
difficulttod · 11/10/2020 18:27

Nina Lily is so beautiful, it doesnt need another name

Merename · 11/10/2020 18:31

Love Nina, what a lovely choice. I think Emilia lily does feel too much, but like others say, they rarely get used so if you like it it’s not a biggie.

overthemountainsandfaraway · 11/10/2020 19:46

Love Nina, love Lily, especially as it has meaning.

Emilia is a bit blah, there are a lot of them around, plus the amelias. Given that you don't use middle names much I just don't think it really adds anything and it does make it all a bit of a mouthful. If you absolutely can't bear not to have it then it's fine, but probably just Lily is better, or another family name?

overthemountainsandfaraway · 11/10/2020 19:47

Ps for goodness sake ignore PPs who are suggesting middle names like May, Rae, Rose... they are unbearably popular as middle names and would just cheapen the lovely names you've chosen.

BillywilliamV · 11/10/2020 19:48

Simone

youwouldthink · 11/10/2020 20:02

Tillygetsit · 11/10/2020 21:58

Nina Lily is lovely. I think another mn spoils it.

SadWife2020 · 12/10/2020 15:50

Agree either Nina Lily or Nina Lily Emilia

BurtonHouse · 12/10/2020 21:28

Nina Lilian
Nina Delphine

Glitterbubbles · 12/10/2020 21:30

Nina Lily Emilia is beautiful!

Marmite27 · 12/10/2020 21:32

Nina Ann or Nina Jane.

I think it needs something that doesn’t end in a ‘y’ or ‘a’ sound.

Firebird83 · 12/10/2020 22:20

Nina Lily is lovely

foxtiger · 12/10/2020 23:32

Gabrielle was the first name that came to mind for me.
