Can't choose!

So DH and I are expecting our first daughter in December, we are almost done with our name choices and have come down to our favourite two but we just can't pick.

Rosie Veronica
Athena Victoria

Which one do you like best? And are we missing any weird association or possible bullying potential on either of these two names? Thanks xx

I love Athena. But Athena Victoria is a bit of a mouthful - Athena Rosie?

NoMoreFlowers · 11/10/2020 04:45

I love Rosie and Victoria, but not Athena. I think Veronica is awful. Sorry. Rosie Victoria would be nice

PJsEveryday · 11/10/2020 04:49

If you like Veronica as a first name , Veronica Rose has a nice sound to it.

landscapeandescape · 11/10/2020 05:11

Rosie Victoria was on our shortlist and so was Rosie Maeve. I lowkey want to reconsider Rosie Victoria but wondering if it's a slightly safe name choice. Nothing wrong with it but what is there's multiple Rosies and Victorias in her grade

I like Rosie. Athena is a bit over the top.

micc · 11/10/2020 05:13

Love them both! Haha not helpful.
I'd have to say I'm leaning towards Athena Victoria. I think it sounds lovely. Not a mouthful at all.
Rosie Veronica is lovely too, Veronica is so underused. I love Rosie but it's quite common, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Quite alot of Rose variations around recently.

But again both lovely names, I just think Athena is different but it sounds gorgeous and I love the story behind it. And Victoria will always be a top name for me I love it.

hollylouise1994 · 11/10/2020 05:16

Athena!

Rosie is a bit bland (sorry). Nothing wrong with it but just a bit dull.

Sunbird24 · 11/10/2020 05:40

I used to know an Athene, would that be something you might like? Athena Victoria feels a bit ‘clunky’ with them both ending in a, but that’s just my personal opinion and there’s certainly nothing about either of your choices that stands out as fodder for bullies

Ghosts2020 · 11/10/2020 05:58

Rosie veronica is such a cute name, Athena victoria I'm not so sure, Athena sounds abit too harsh , maybe athenea or alethea, despite that still prefer the first option imo

Trevorina · 11/10/2020 08:32

How about Athena Rose?

ComicePear · 11/10/2020 08:34

Rosie Victoria is my favourite.

MikeUniformMike · 11/10/2020 21:11

Rosie Victoria would be my choice.
Athena is a bit long with no obvious nn (Thena maybe).
Rosie Veronica is like a plant description.

Firebird83 · 11/10/2020 21:12

Athena

whattodo2019 · 11/10/2020 21:16

Athena

DramaAlpaca · 11/10/2020 21:23

I'd go for Rose Victoria or Rose Athena, known as Rosie.

Kanaloa · 11/10/2020 21:38

I like Rosie and Athena. I think Rosie Veronica flows better than Athena Victoria.

missmouse101 · 11/10/2020 21:46

Rosie Victoria

BumpLoading · 11/10/2020 21:54

I love Athena, such a pretty name.

I like Athena Maeve as an option Smile

Milkshake7489 · 11/10/2020 22:56

I love both!

What about Athena Rose?

Milkshake7489 · 11/10/2020 22:57

Sorry, just seen that someone already suggested Athena Rose!

wishing3 · 11/10/2020 23:20

Rosie Veronica

Iamneverfull · 11/10/2020 23:22

Rosie Victoria is lovely?

Kote · 11/10/2020 23:22

Athena and Victoria but not together

MercyBodle · 11/10/2020 23:57

Definitely Rosie. Lovely name. Both Veronica and Victoria work well in the middle.

missmouse101 · 12/10/2020 12:41

Rosie Victoria
