Girl - Amy/Aimee

Teacher here and I prefer Amy and Elliot. The students I've taught with the other spellings tend to be constantly adding 'with a double e'/t on the end.
Go traditional spelling, the other spellings will also date meaning in 40+ years, it'll be more obvious how old they are..

Amy and Elliot for definite.

I don't like the Aimee spelling at all, and Elliott is usually (not always) the spelling when it's a surname.

Amy and Elliot.

Both lovely names

Much prefer Amy to Aimee, as for me it feels more timeless.

And Elliot looks better for a first name 🙂

emmathedilemma · 08/10/2020 11:55

Amy and Elliot. Good choices!

Amy and Elliott.

I don't like the Aimee spelling at all, and Amie is even worse.
Elliot is usually (not always) the spelling when it's a surname.

Not keen on either name really, although I like Elliot as a surname.

Amy and Elliot.

I would pronounce Aimee differently, on the assumption that it was a French name. And so, unless you are French and intending it to be pronounced that way, don't confuse things with the spealling.

Firebird83 · 08/10/2020 20:53

Amy and Elliot

Amy and Elliot

daisypond · 08/10/2020 21:11

Amy and Elliot.
I like Elliot but Amy is too bland for me. Definitely don’t spell it Aimee.

Garcellesaidwhaaat · 10/10/2020 11:14

Amy and either Elliot/t.
If you were to call him Elliott when he gives his name he can say "double L double T" which makes it nice n easy breezy lemon squeezy.

Garcellesaidwhaaat · 10/10/2020 11:16

also, in my head i read Amy as rhyming with Jamie whereas I read Aimee as aim ee with emphasis on the aim. Makes me think of Aim, shoot, fire
