I've been watching too much umbrella academy and I am really loving the name Luther but I know it's a bit out there and not sure anyone would like it haha

Does anyone have any unusual but lovely names for a little boy?

My best friend has just named her baby boy Luther, it's such a lovely name. Really suits him, and they shorten it to Luie. She now has a Luther & a Vincent

Idris Elba could carry it off Smile

If we have a boy we are naming him Osian.

Luther is a religious name - I would be expecting evangelical Christian parents.

I quite like Luther. It reminds me of Martin Luther King, the Lutheran Church (which Bach composed for) and Lex Luther the Superman villain! So it has eclectic connotations 🙂

I like it as a surname but for some reason as a first name it makes me think of Lucifer.

There was a Luther at my children's school till last year. He was very lovely do I only have positive feelings about it.

I think it’s very cool. The kind of name that is unusual without being at all ridiculous.

Slightly muderous?

@FizzyGreenWater

Slightly muderous?
True but our other name is jack and "jack the ripper" is much more murderous :P

I don't like it. The sound of it mainly, but also its bloody associations.

Luther Vandross is the connection for me, so I like it OP.
