I really like Finley...also gives the option of nn Finn. I like Jack too but it is a very popular name round here at the moment.

JustSaying101 · 01/10/2020 14:17

I prefer Finley personally, however, Jack is a nice name too.

Kanaloa · 01/10/2020 14:20

Both are nice but I especially like Finley.

Whatsyourflava · 01/10/2020 14:32

Love both
Sorry not much help at all
Excellent choices though

Grimbot · 01/10/2020 14:44

Definitely Finley. I do like Jack too but Finley is such a lovely name and you also have the option of shortening it to Finn.

Spam88 · 01/10/2020 15:05

Jack by a country mile. The only Finley's I've ever met have been cats.

PattyPan · 01/10/2020 15:14

I much prefer Jack, it’s a very classic name whereas I think Finley is a bit twee.

ablisha · 01/10/2020 16:46

Thank you. Any other votes would be great 😊

Jack definitely, Finley is very common and all the ones I know aren’t particularly nice

ddfitzwilliam · 01/10/2020 20:16

Finlay (not Finley)
Jacks are always little terrors in my experience.

AriettyHomily · 01/10/2020 20:18

Finlay

Anappleaday1 · 01/10/2020 21:45

Jack, but Finley is also lovely!

Firebird83 · 01/10/2020 22:25

I much prefer Jack.

tobee · 01/10/2020 22:33

Too many Jacks

DramaAlpaca · 01/10/2020 22:34

It depends on the surname

ablisha · 02/10/2020 13:48

Thank you.
Seems pretty 50/50

Sorry OP 🤣 it is 50:50
Has this helped at all though @ablisha ? Do you have a favourite

MiniMileyMoo · 02/10/2020 14:16

Much prefer Jack. I think Finley will become dated quicker.

ablisha · 02/10/2020 15:20

I love Finely, DH loves Jack. As a teacher I worry Jack is so common. 🤷🏼‍♀️

ablisha · 02/10/2020 15:21

Finley*... Not Finely which is not on the table 😂

Jack is way overused. It's a nickname for John. Finlay is a lovely name and Finn for short is nice. As a teacher you must know lots of Jacks and much less Finlays.

OverTheRubicon · 02/10/2020 15:41

There are SO many little Finn/Finlay/Finleys running around at nurseries in our area.

It's going to be the Keith or Kylie of the future. I say don't do it.

Jack is ok.

sofakingawesome · 02/10/2020 15:51

My oldest is Finley, I love it, we do use Finn too. My second is Nicholas which I love equally although took a while to grow on me haha
