Muscle pain? Is it a sign?

Today I've woke up with really bad muscle aches in the tops of my legs and bum cheeks. It feels like I've been at the gym and overdone it lol. It's not sore, it's just like I've been doing butt crunches and my muscles hurt. Has anyone else ever experienced this?
