What do people think of this? Changed my mind on Rose.

Wasn’t it Violet or is there another aurora thread? Lily was quite popular when DS was little (he’s 16 now). I like Grace myself...

abigailamelia · 18/09/2020 18:13

That’s not my thread ahaha

Sounds like Orally, don’t like it.

Aurora Grace
Aurora Faith
Aurora May
Aurora June
Aurora Hope

And even Aurora Rose

All sound much better

GoldenPlover · 18/09/2020 18:17

I like Aurora

I feel like middle names aren't used much at all so even though it's not my favourite Lily would be fine!

abigailamelia · 18/09/2020 18:18

Actually... what do you think of Aurora Violet? Sounds nice now it’s been mentioned😂

Sounds like a migraine!

NearToCompletion · 18/09/2020 18:20

Love Aurora but really don't like it with either Lily or Violet, sorry.

daisypond · 18/09/2020 18:22

Not keen on Aurora, sorry.

consideratealpaca · 18/09/2020 18:24

Really dislike Aurora, sorry.

bookishtartlet · 18/09/2020 18:32

I'm due my daughter in a few weeks, I've decided on Violet Aurora, and I 💜 it.

Oneandabean · 18/09/2020 18:38

Either there’s about to be a massive spike in popularity for aurora or someone is making several threads under different usernames and asking the same questions

SerenityNowwwww · 18/09/2020 18:40

Is it a character name in a book or film?

Cecelori · 19/09/2020 02:38

I just don't like aurora this seems to be the issue throughout

NameChange84 · 19/09/2020 10:15

It is quite common now...first from Sleeping Beauty and Maleficent, of course the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) and then Frozen 2 most recently.

I’d say every 3rd little girl under the age of 2 that I’ve met recently has been called Aurora, often with the nickname Rory. It’s similar in popularity locally to Theodore/Theo/Teddy.

FluffyEggsontoast · 19/09/2020 10:34

Beautiful name. Never met an Aurora but know loads of Teddy and Theo's which makes sense as those names are far higher up the charts than Aurora

NameChange84 · 19/09/2020 11:06

Aurora was number 70 in the 2019 ONS list. 2020 obviously hasn’t been released yet and Frozen 2 came out at the end of 2019 and based on all the little Auroras I’ve come across recently I’d expect it to go up to at least 50. It is also dependent on the local area. I recall a thread on here recently where someone was saying they hadn’t ever come across a Theodore in London!

Ellmau · 19/09/2020 12:11

I prefer Aurora Violet to Aurora Lily.

danascully96 · 24/09/2020 21:47

Not keen on Aurora. Prefer Violet and Lily as firsts!
