My hypothetical children's names (lighthearted)

I've had my DC's so these are definitely in the imaginary world of me having more.

My boys would be called Wulfric and Thaddeus. I wouldn't mind a Balthazar either.

My daughters would be called Magali, Manon and Elm.

DH said my penchant for odd names was an amazing form of contraception Grin

@Okki manon is also a welsh girls name, I love it but doesn’t work with our surname

ZarasHouse · 18/09/2020 18:48

@bookmum08 Yes as all good hypothetical children should be. They are the remedy to the real life children who refuse to fit comfortably into our fantasies about being creative ruffled hair types ourselves. They belong to the hypothetical realm with our unpainted paintings and unwritten novels. Just hanging out there in the ether

Toddlerteaplease · 18/09/2020 18:51

Bartholamew and Thaddeus for boys.

Okki · 18/09/2020 19:14

@Oneandabean I didn't know that. Is it pronounced differently?

I forgot about Hepzibah - I love that. I also like Tabitha. Off to google some more names now. I might have to have some more imaginary children.

I do have an imaginary Friesian horse called Bucephalus.

Tigerlily

TwizzledTurkey · 18/09/2020 19:19

Delphine and Caspian

Oneandabean · 18/09/2020 19:25

It’s pronounced like it’s spelt. I love Tabitha

VirginiaWolverine · 18/09/2020 20:45

I've just had a quick read through and realise that I know at least 13 children with names mentioned here.

Tillygetsit · 18/09/2020 21:37

Demelza, Arrietty and Lemuel.

vampirethriller · 18/09/2020 23:11

I didn't think of middle names.
Callula Morgana
Hadassah Sage
Zenobia Star
Telemachus Abednego
Zephaniah Zane
Xerxes Alan.

One of DS’s has his name on this thread 😊 I should be taking notes in case I get chance for another....

FizzingWhizzbee123 · 19/09/2020 00:28

Lysander and Aubrey for the boys

Esmerelda and Demelza for the girls

I actually genuinely love Lysander but it got such raised eyebrows from anyone I mentioned it too, I feel it would be unfair to use it. Bloody tempted though!

LUZON · 19/09/2020 00:41

Mine are called Leollan, Leander, Johan, Emerald, Florencia, and Ludvik,

Spellings are flexible.

Cecelori · 19/09/2020 02:05

I actually like thaddeus

whatausername · 19/09/2020 02:17

Hatshepsut, Amandine, Eurus, Lucifer and Monty. Valentine if living in a French-speaking region.

MrsBeltane · 19/09/2020 02:37

Zipporah or Persephone for a girl. Berrigan or Caspian for a boy.

MrsBeltane · 19/09/2020 02:38

Also Hepzibah and Calliope for girls.

Crockof · 19/09/2020 02:49

I am slightly concerned that I love a lot of these names. Probably good that I can only have imaginary children. Especially love Lysander.

I'd have a Horatio, Somerset, Indigo and Roger.

whatausername · 19/09/2020 03:17

Horatio is an excellent name! Roger makes me giggle for some reason but I do kind of like it.
