Florence - always loved, just worried it’s too popular now. Nn Flora or Florrie.
Clara - no nn!
Elizabeth - Eliza or Beth for nn
Felicity - nn Fliss

I would suggest Flora as the full name. Much less popular than Florence, and, if you want them you have the same nn options. Flora really doesn't need a nn though.
Clara - Carrie or Callie?

I like all of your names, but Flora would be my pick if it was an option.

Briony
Amity
Catherine - KIt or Kitty
Claudia
Bethany
Persephone - Posy, Sephy
Beatrice
Beatrix
Cressida
Julia

Love Clara!

Other ideas - Francesca, Harriet/Henrietta, Josephine, Greta, Beatrice, Cora

Hatscats · 18/09/2020 16:54

Love most of these! My partner is more fussy haha but I’ll read them to him later and see what he thinks! I love Beatrice but he said no, and I also like Penelope and Lydia but have close friends and family members with those already. Flora is cute, I just wonder if Florence is better for when she’s older. Edith is my mums suggestion. Thanks everyone, lovely names!

LittleTiger007 · 19/09/2020 09:05

Clementine (Clemmie) or Clemency
Bethany (a bit more unusual than Elizabeth)
Constance (Connie)
Amelie (Millie)
Eden, Shiloh, Talitha (three old biblical names making a bit of a comeback... pretty)

BanalAnal · 19/09/2020 09:07

Edith seems nice but still sounds a bit witchy (reminds me of those children's books and tv show) even in today's trend for older names.
I know someone with a teen Edith and can't quite get it as a cool name.

Lauren
Connie
Violet
Aurelie
Aurelia
Cecilia

I really don't like the suggested cutesy shortening for Persephone of Sephy or Posy. Maybe ok for. 3 yo then not ok!

Heartofglass12345 · 19/09/2020 12:08

Why pick a lovely name then shorten it to something else I just don't get it Shock
