We’re not having a baby but I figured you all could help solve this debate between me and dh:-

Marcia:-

Mar see a or
Marsha?

Or can it be both?

I know one and she is mar-see-a
I had to ask her though as it was not obvious to me

dementedpixie · 13/09/2020 18:24

I would day it
Mar see ah

dementedpixie · 13/09/2020 18:24

Crylittlesister · 13/09/2020 18:26

I know an adult one of each, both spelt the same.

Mysa74 · 13/09/2020 18:26

I've known people who pronounce it both ways...

TipseyTorvey · 13/09/2020 18:29

I immediately said Mar-see-a. But also could be Marsha, I suppose

Sunnydaysstillhere · 13/09/2020 18:31

It's dd's middle name. Mar see a

MostDefinitelyNot · 13/09/2020 18:34

Vote for mar-sha here.

Oneandabean · 13/09/2020 18:35

Mar-see-a

Coldcough · 13/09/2020 18:35

Marsha

Sunshineandsparkle · 13/09/2020 18:36

It could be either. My go to would be “Marsha” though I think.

Scarby9 · 13/09/2020 18:38

Either.
Like Alicia - I am always being caught out by the Ali- see - a versus the Alisha pronunciations.

JustSaying101 · 13/09/2020 18:40

Mar - see - a
I personally know 3 Marcia's and they all pronounce their name this way.

Craddle64 · 13/09/2020 18:43

Mar see yah

Craddle64 · 13/09/2020 18:44

Mars see ya

JustSaying101 · 13/09/2020 18:46

Saying that, it could be said the other way.
Similar to Tricia/Trisha, although I've never met anyone that pronounces Tricia as Tri-see-a as of yet, only Tri-sha. Tricky one!

GlamGiraffe · 13/09/2020 18:48

Mar see uh

missmouse101 · 13/09/2020 18:49

Marsha, like in the Brady Bunch!

MaryShelley1818 · 13/09/2020 18:54

Unseeliequeen · 13/09/2020 19:04

I don't know, I've never met anyone with the name, but I automatically read it as Marsha

SEE123 · 13/09/2020 19:05
