Initials FAD

I always try to think of initials spelling something out, my husband thinks fad is barely a word anyway.

Would it bother you?

Would be a girls name (that is beautiful and we love it)

No, wouldn't even notice it. Especially not a beautiful name - I'm thinking Felicity Anna, Florence Aurelia, Frieda Alice... I'm sure no one will notice FAD.

Fad is not bad....

Wouldnt even register with me. My DD1 initials spell CAP.

Id maybe reconsider if it was going to be BUM or FUD or something, but nothing wrong with FAD

Thanks! That really helps. We have finally have an agreed baby girl name. Grin

A boys name is a whole other story!

As someone who works in veterinary, the only thing this makes me think is the abbreviation for Flea Allergy Dermatitis 😂 But that's really pushing it and nobody normal would associate it with that. Otherwise I really wouldn't worry! Go with it!

chickenortheegg · 10/09/2020 16:11

I'd avoid initials like ASS, STD, TIT, POO but FAD is fine

QueenofmyPrinces · 12/09/2020 11:59

I was the same when naming my children!!

Our youngest sons initials are LBW and our friend and family find it quite amusing as my DH plays cricket and they think we purposely did it as a tribute to the sport Grin

FAD wouldn’t even occur to me as being something to worry about it.

Ours spells FAB... and I really hate the word, but it wouldn’t stop me using it if we have a girl xx
