Andrew, definitely. Fraser sounds harsh to me.

BackforGood · 07/09/2020 21:53

Are you Scottish ?

Crabbo · 07/09/2020 21:54

Fraser

unimaginativeusernamehere · 07/09/2020 21:54

How did you guess? 🤣

Andrew -by a LONG way

Itsrainingnotmen · 07/09/2020 21:55

If it's for a Scottish reference surely Hamish??

easterbuns1 · 07/09/2020 21:55

Fraser. One of my favourites (also in Scotland).

I am Scottish, living in Scotland. I don't need a 'Scottish reference' whatever that means. Just seeing which name people think is nicer.

I much prefer Andrew.

Covidfreexmas · 07/09/2020 21:59

Definitely Fraser.

Itsrainingnotmen · 07/09/2020 22:01

Reference obviously the wrong word - sorry - I love Hamish so much our beloved dcat was Hamish!
And we aren't Scottish!

twirlywooly · 07/09/2020 22:03

Like both but would lean towards Fraser as hate the nn Andy!

Lindy2 · 07/09/2020 22:07

I've always liked Fraser as a name.

Andrew is nice but very ordinary. Fraser is a little bit different - but then I am in SE England. I expect there are a lot more Frasers in Scotland. Is it very popular?

2pinkginsplease · 07/09/2020 22:08

Definitely Fraser!

unimaginativeusernamehere · 07/09/2020 22:11

I think Fraser and Andrew are both about the same in terms of popularity. I don't know any wee ones called either but that doesn't bother me tbh as I don't think they're dated.

I don't honestly know anyone who would actually use the name Hamish for their son, around the central belt at least. My ds1 is James which Hamish is a different version of anyway.

I really like both. Fraser by a pinch.

MikeUniformMike · 08/09/2020 05:24

I like both but I'd choose Andrew.
