Have another ds on the way (I’m 30 weeks) first is named kylo, what name would suit with this? I’m terrible at deciding names. I do like Finley but not 100%🤔

Mylo? 😀

AllPlayedOut · 02/09/2020 19:27

Ren?

mylittleavalon · 02/09/2020 19:36

Maybe Albie, Alfie, Rex, Jackson, Sullivan, Freddie, Harvey, Corey? These are along the same lines as Kylo in my mind

BingoGo · 02/09/2020 19:38

Anakin?

Flymetothestars · 02/09/2020 19:55

Cole
Curtis
Tristan
Bodhi
Idris
Griffin
River
Kit
Percy

Flymetothestars · 02/09/2020 19:55

Axel

WildCherryBlossom · 02/09/2020 20:30

Finn
Luke
Han
Poe
Hux
C3PO...

Chrle98 · 02/09/2020 20:41

My partner named our son...not sure if you’re trying to be funny?

Dazzedandconfused · 02/09/2020 20:44

I know a Kyro with a brother named Caelan.
Atticus, Cyan or Rhett are also cool names that would go IMO

Flappingflamingo · 02/09/2020 20:53

Not getting the star wars theme then? 😂

AllPlayedOut · 02/09/2020 20:56

Yoda?

IVflytrap · 02/09/2020 22:35

I like Finley, but it will probably be shortened to Fin. And having sons Kylo and Fin(n) is a bit too much recent Star Wars films... How about:

Archie
Rory
Max
Brodie
Joel
Dylan
Aaron
Lucas
Billy
Oscar
Nate

AudTheDeepMinded · 02/09/2020 22:39

Think you need something short (One syllable) and traditional as a counterpoint to the a bit 'out there' first name. Something like 'Jack', I know a little boy who was named 'Jax' if you didn't want it really traditional?

AudTheDeepMinded · 02/09/2020 22:39

Or 'Rex' (king)

WildCherryBlossom · 03/09/2020 10:26

Rex as in Captain?

OP apologies for being flippant. My only reference for your DS's name is Star Wars. You will need to consider that when naming your second DS.

Obviously it's fine to name your child in tribute to someone you like. Aaron soared up the charts when Elvis Aaron Presley was popular. Lyra has been on the rise for a while thanks to Philip Pullman's books (including recently Ed Sheeran's baby) etc etc etc

user1493494961 · 03/09/2020 10:52

I wouldn't let your partner name this one.

Twisique · 03/09/2020 10:57

Max
Ben
Oberon

Unseeliequeen · 03/09/2020 14:19

Finley and Kylo are fine together.

Kylo and Isaac
Kylo and Ben
Kylo and Elijah
Kylo and Kieran
Kylo and Alfie
Kylo and Archie
Kylo and Levi
Kylo and Mason

ImaSababa · 03/09/2020 14:28

Do NOT let your partner name this one.

The first name that came to my mind as a brother for Kylo was Stanley, for some reason.

WoollyHeadedMammoth · 03/09/2020 15:34

I'd just list out what you and your partner both like, then see if anything clashes with Kylo or seems too odd or too similar and eliminate that. I'd probably avoid another -o ending or a too-strong L or Y sound in the middle. And think about whether you want two K- names.

Andre
Benji
Blake
Bowie
Brandon
Cormac
Dustin
Emmett
Fabrice
Jonah
Keanu
Kuba
Rémi
Ronan
Rory
Sander/Xander
Sebastian
Serge
Toby
Troy

FeedMeSantiago · 03/09/2020 18:03

I would avoid Finley as it may get shortened to Finn which, coupled with Kylo, is very Star Wars.

Rex
Max
Cody
Brodie
Orson
Asa
Asher
Arlo
Jago
Hector
Archer
Blake
Beau
Silas
Aston
Atlas
Carter
Ezra
Saul
Felix
Hudson
Harley
Jude
Leo
Levi
Mason
Oakley

WildCherryBlossom · 04/09/2020 10:51

@FeedMeSantiago "Captain Rex"and "Commander Cody" are fairly Star Wars too 🤣

ButterflyOfFreedom · 04/09/2020 12:48

I like Finley. I agree about 1 syllable names though, they would sound good with Kylo so how about just Finn? Or Flynn?

Other suggestions:
Quinn
Ace
Max
Zeb
Drew
Heath
Drake
