I like it.
But i think it would be mispronouced lots.

lionsmum · 03/09/2020 08:31

A good mixed bag, I knew it wasn't going to be one everyone would love! I think I like the fact only a few like it (don't ask me why) ... we won't know for sure until we meet him ,but it's nice to have strangers opinions

A roux is a sauce. Dont. Just go with Rex- great name.

lionsmum · 03/09/2020 16:30

@mollyminniemo Rex as in T-Rex? Mumsnet strangers make me laugh

Like Kanga's baby!

YummyInMyTummy · 03/09/2020 16:37

Hmmm I think I quite like it - but I definitely wouldn’t be able to bring myself to use it! I love the nickname Rhu / Ru / Roo - but for Rudy, Rupert, Rory, etc. My cat’s nickname is Rhu (Rhubarb) Smile.
I hate Reign. With a passion. Sorry!

lionsmum · 03/09/2020 17:44

@YummyInMyTummy I love the name Rhubarb for a pet, it's so cute! I keep thinking about longer names... but I don't think I like any as much as Roux ... this name game is tough

Don't mind Reign or Rain. I think if you're going to use a name like that perhaps asks men you're close to if they would mind being called Reign/Rain though.

River
Reed

Not Roux. Roux = creamy flour sauce.

VenusClapTrap · 03/09/2020 19:42

I quite like Roux. Wasn’t Johnny Depp’s character in Chocolat called Roux?

Missmonkeypenny · 03/09/2020 19:43

I have a Reuben who goes by Roo 🙂

IKEA888 · 03/09/2020 19:45

Havnt read through so maybe been suggested...
Ruairidh is a good name but difficukt to spell.

V common in Scotland and is pronuced
ROO SEE
often shorted to Roo
Lots of people use easier spelling
Or what about Rhu it's a Scottish place name

IKEA888 · 03/09/2020 19:46

ROO REE

Not see

DancingLady · 03/09/2020 19:53

It's a sauce. Prefer Roo spelling tbh.

SBTLove · 03/09/2020 19:55

Both dreadful, there’s a FB group about tragic names and these are the types that are featured ,River is routinely mocked 🙄

veeboo · 03/09/2020 19:58

Ah jts not great OP.

What about..
Remi
Beauden/Beau (hated on here but I like)
Rory
?

WhoWouldHaveThoughtThat · 03/09/2020 19:58

Wouldn't Batter be better?

forfoxsakee · 03/09/2020 20:00

I know a rueben who's known as roo so that could work ?

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 03/09/2020 20:01

Roo is a nickname for Rhys where I live... No idea why, but it works !
