What names do you love but aren't brave enough to actually use them?
Mine are:
Boys~ Hendrix, Cove, Ziggy, Roscoe, Tatum, Navy, Jett, Basil, Forrest

Girls~ Fable, Winter, Maven, Nova, Dottie, Sage, Opal, Moana, Waverly

Please also feel free to let me know if you think mine are too wacky or possibly wearable for future children.

I loved Phyrne for a girl but my DH didn't like it. Equally he liked Quade for a bit which was a no from me!

Boy: Balam, Tulum, Ikal, Chaac
Girl: Xelha, Xcaret, Nicte

Even as middle names I can't bring myself to use them. They're all Mayan names and I do have the perfect excuse to use them but even then they're a bit too out there.

Girl: Clementine, Xanthe, Murielle
Boy: Hudson, Thompson

Dd has a Hudson in her primary school so I guess that is usable!

I would love to have a little girl called Avalon.
And maybe gravity for a boy?

My DD has a more 'wacky' name haha, so I actually feel I'm not brave enough to use something like Jane, as I love the name but it's a very common and sometimes seen as a bit boring. Plus it would be so ordinary next to my DDs name...
I suppose more wacky names I think sound awesome are like Maverick and Wolfgang! I dont think I could pull them off but if someone was like 'that's my son Wolfgang' I'd think that is sooooo badass hahaha

My fantasy twins names are Merlin and Piper

VenusClapTrap · 01/09/2020 18:55

Anemone and Narcissa

LottieDot · 01/09/2020 19:16

Atticus and Winter! I also like Atlas and Sailor.

Moana is a usable name in New Zealand and unisex as well. I reckon you could get away with Forrest or Basil from your boys list.

Names (or words that could be names) I like but wouldn't use:

B: Caspian, Gideon, Lucius, Crispin, Aubrey, Wulfric, Pyotr and Nikolai (no links to Eastern Europe at all for the last two)

G: December, Bathsheba, Seraphina, Bouddica

I like Valentine for a boy but can’t bear that it would be shortened to Val. For a girl I liked Teddy but it’s become a bit common, and dare I say it chavvy?

I’m actually pregnant now and we’ve agreed to call the baby Ziggy if it’s another boy!
