So, what your opinion on Morris?
Is it too close to Amos? My other kids are age 19-13 and this baby is with new (well not new, but not the other kids dad 😁) so it's not like Amos and Morris would be hanging out all the time. I wouldn't be calling them in for supper together!! My Amos is 13, so quite a big age gap.
Only other boys we agree on is Raymond but I prefer Morris I think (well today I do anyway 😁)

Sorted on girls. We could name 20 girls but stuck on these two for boys!

I think it's far too similar sorry.

SisterAgatha · 28/08/2020 20:16

Maurice. Sounds similar (don’t they all get called Mo anyway?) Looks better.

daisypond · 28/08/2020 20:53

It sounds very similar. Maurice is better, but it still sounds the same.

Firebird83 · 28/08/2020 20:54

I don’t think it sounds too similar, unless I’m pronouncing Amos wrong.

Firebird83 · 28/08/2020 20:54

I really like Morris by the way!

Reddog1 · 28/08/2020 20:57

I prefer Morris to Maurice because there’s a possibility that the latter would be mispronounced mor-reece which isn’t as nice. I also think it’s not similar to Amos. So it’s a big thumbs up from me.

midsomermurderess · 28/08/2020 21:56

I think of Friday Night Dinner.

percheron67 · 28/08/2020 22:01

Is it a child or a car?

TheRosariojewels · 29/08/2020 08:13

I don't think they sound too similar.

PaulinePetrovaPosey · 29/08/2020 08:22

Morris makes me think of morris dancing...

I think they are a bit too similar, and Morris isn't a nice enough name to make it worthwhile.

I know this is irrelevant and unhelpful but Amos is a fab name.

Davespecifico · 29/08/2020 08:25

Too similar.

Davespecifico · 29/08/2020 08:26

You need a Seth, then you’ve completed the Emmerdale set.

'It's magic our Morris', really showing my age here! It's OK, heard far worse and I don't think it's too similar to Amos.

MikeUniformMike · 29/08/2020 10:56

It's nice.

Rabbit600 · 29/08/2020 11:09

I really like the name Morris and don't think it sounds too similar to Amos.

DrDetriment · 29/08/2020 11:12

A bit similar and rather old manish. Brings up images of a shuffling late middle aged man in a mac.

WhoWouldHaveThoughtThat · 29/08/2020 11:17

I think of the car manufacturer, and the old car known as the 'bull-nosed Morris'

Paul1384 · 29/08/2020 15:01

I prefer Raymond over Morris I think. Least you have it down to two. Good luck choosing!
