Thoughts on Benjamin? Ben as the nickname.

Really great classic name and very underused these days, about to leave the top 50! It's numbers have been falling each and every year for a long time.

Names like Benjamin or Peter are really great solid choices that aren't overly popular

My 8 month old DS is Benjamin Arthur

Love the name Benjamin! It's my BIL's name so couldn't ever use it but I think it's lovely.

Interesting that it's declining in popularity. I know loads! And it would have been our choice had we had a DS

I love it! DS (5) is Benjamin, we all call him Ben. We know one other Ben.

The drop in numbers has been pretty consistent so I highly doubt it'll go above number 30 for the foreseeable.

@Flymetothestars that's so interesting. Also the numbers are falling even if the ranking isn't as people choose a greater variety of boys' names...

I like it. I probably slightly prefer Benedict, though.

Love it! Only know one little one who’s 6 and a couple who are much older.

Love it. Newborn DD would've been Benjamin known as Ben if she'd been a boy.

I love the sound of Benjamin. Very satisfying to say. Would have been a contender if it wasn't my cousin's name.

Lovely, classic name. It was popular 25 years ago but has gone out of fashion. Time to bring it back, I say!

DS (6) is Benjamin, he likes to be called Ben. Only Ben 😂

I think Benjamin is a really nice name, there's no criticism to make
