Until I was well into my twenties I never realised Siobhan was pronounced 'shivorn' I used to say it phonetically Blush

I know two Scottish Seonaids pronounced 'Shona', I really like it.

I like the name Shona, and it's been a couple of decades since I've heard of anyone calling a baby it.

I have an 80year old aunt who is spelt Shiona. Her parents were Gaelic speakers from Arran and I've never seen any other Shona's spelt that way. (Maybe their accent confused the registrar? )
