I love this but the chipmunks?

Exactly what came to my mind.

Not the worst connection, but it becomes less cute with age.

I like it, but chipmunks was my immediate thought too.

Next thought was Stardust.

Chipmunks. Sorry. I dread to think how unkind kids could be when little Alvin’s voice breaks and does all sorts of weird noises.
It’s still on a lot of the time on Tiny Pop, so would be very much in kids awareness.
It’s a shame as it’s a fun name.
Albie might give a similar sound if that appeals?

Don't do it. Apart from the chipmunks reference (as an outsider who doesn't know you) it's a pretty awful name.

Theodore is cuter? As cute at Alvin is, I'm the same, my first thought was chipmunk and I watch it a lot with my 4YO, so I can imagine it'll still be on in a couple of years time, would hate to imagine the bullying/nicknames...

My 3 and 6yr old daughters were watching The Chipmunks the other day. It hasn’t gone away. The song is still really annoying. The name Alvin in of itself is not bad, but please don’t name a child this. You’re just condemning him to a childhood of kids singing “ALVIN, SIMON... THEODORE!” At him, which will get real old real quick.
