That’s it really. Thoughts on the name Penelope? Nn penny.

Aurelia
Sydney
Aria
Ophelia

Penelope is ok, and I have a friend called Penelope who is lovely - I mean really lovely.

I also know a couple of really nice Pennys and Pennie.

Not mad about the name. It's ok.

Aurelia - no. Or-eelia or or-ail-y-a , i don't like either
Sydney - different
Aria - air. Boring and nothingy
Ophelia - Feel your ...

No to all of them.

Penelope - a bit 1970's sitcom
Aurelia, Aria, Ophelia -a bit pretentious
Sydney - A bit chav

Penelope is a lovely name. Not many of them around. Don’t care for the others as they seem too try hard.

What about Samantha?

Love it. It was one of our top names but we went for Norah at the last minute! :-)

I adore Penelope. I met a toddler Penelope recently and I just thought it was so perfect on her. I prefer it to the rest of your list.

I like it and I like Penny as a nn more.

In full it can seem a bit much I think but the nickname Penny is so sweet and simple that it gets rid of any pretentiousness that might otherwise come with Penelope.

I do quite like Aurelia also but not the others. Aria seems very now I think and I can imagine being a 40 year old Penny more than I can a 40 year old Aria.

Penelope is very common near me. I know 6 under the age of 5.

Dm is called Penelope. She hates it. I'm not keen tbh and don't understand how it's become fashionable, it's rather long and awkward for my tastes but if you like long names go for it. She will be called Penny though, that's a guarantee. Fwiw I think Penny is far nicer.
