Siblings with same letters

What's people's thoughts on naming siblings with the same initial...
Like Rose and Robin
Or
Arlo and Alba
Or
Sophie and Samuel
For example...
Does it matter?

I've a son who's name begins with I and thinking of using an I name for a girl.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Isaac and Isobel sound lovely together. It’s not too matchy at all because the I in Isaac is more pronounced than in Isobel, giving it a whole different sound imo.

I am biased as I have an Isaac and wouldn’t discount Isobel down the line as it’s a beautiful name too.

And how much post are they really going to get? Doctors appointments are generally full name and bank statements etc are all going paperless.

It makes no difference whatsoever. Mail always comes with the actual name on nowadays anyway.

I don't see it as that much of a problem not to name my children the same initial if I like the names

So why bother asking? We’re you expect ahh cute!

I wouldn’t do it. But it’s your choice.

It's fine, not a big deal at all. 2 of mine share an initial and I've never had any mail/appointment issues (oldest is a teen now).

We accidentally ended up giving 3 of our kids names which start with a similar sound, though not all spelled with the same initial (think 'ee' spelled with I or E). Yes, I mix them up yelling sometimes, but I'll also mix them up with the cats name, my siblings name, my nephew's name... not a big deal at all, pick what you like. They are individuals, not a set.

So why ask then?!

I wouldn’t do it either. The post thing will be a pain, and it’s just a bit twee.

As long as the names aren't similar, I think it's nice.

It never even occurred to me that me and my sister have the same letter.
Its had absolutely no impact on us in 50 + years!
