Is it dated? Would you be surprised to hear it on a baby born in 2020? I really like it but I’m concerned it’s more of a “mum name”

Also, which spelling do you prefer and which shortening do you like? I think Kitty is quite nice.

Katherine to me is dated (70s/80s), whereas Catherine is classic and timeless. Love Katie, Katy, or Kitty as nicknames. Cathy/Kathy dated as a nickname.

I like Katherine and much prefer the K spelling. Kitty is lovely but I hate the nickname Cat/Kat! X
