I like Astrid and Elizabeth. Elizabeth is a great one as there are so many variations.

I feel like Arabella is a bit overdone now.

Most are not my taste. Astrid is definitely my personal favourite. I also like Sophie, Grace and Elizabeth.

Sarahbeans · 11/08/2020 21:47

Elizabeth is an all time classic and would be what I would use if I were having my children now.

MeMeMeYou · 11/08/2020 22:01

Penelope shortened to Penny is my favourite.

I like Anna, Flora, Laura, April

TempsPerdu · 11/08/2020 22:41

A lot of these are too frilly and OTT for me, but I do like Astrid and Elizabeth. Caroline I think is also due a comeback.

A few like Penelope, Arabella and Ophelia are faddy and will date.

Margot - not keen
Penelope - too long
Ophelia - no
Octavia - too Skoda
Caroline - yes
Primrose - no
Arabella - too long
Eugenie - no
Elizabeth - yes
Gwyneth - no. Dated welsh name.
Marigold - no. Too rubber glove
Astrid - nice
Grace - overused as a mn
Sophie - love
Gabrielle - seems dated

Some of the names seem like they are the names of some beautiful woman, not a beautiful name.

Thegereldine3000 · 12/08/2020 00:05

I love all the names, my personal favourite being grace (my dd's name). Her middle name is Aurelia, I also really like evangeline.

janetmendoza · 12/08/2020 00:47

Caroline from your list. Easy to spell well known but not 'popular'

ResIpsaLoquiturInterAlia · 12/08/2020 00:58

Ophelia!

Derived from Greek ὄφελος (ophelos) meaning "help, advantage".
