What name is your favourite for our 4th boy? His brothers are Jude, Levi and Ezra :) thank you!

Saul

Abel - I tend of think of Saul as one of the bad guys :-)

KingaRoo · 09/08/2020 23:18

Well, one was murdered and the other committed suicide so I wouldn't choose either!

howlathebees · 09/08/2020 23:21

@KingaRoo if we thought like that hardly any names would be allowed :)

Abel

Saul. I know someone with the name of Abel and he is known as "not very"! Wouldn't want to inflict that on anyone.

howlathebees · 09/08/2020 23:26

@percheron67 I do worry able ‘able’ jokes

It would concern me, i think. The chap concerned has some difficulties - i AM NOT suggesting that this is so in your family! It could be very hurtful for a child and children can be mean to other children. I like your other names, by the way.

Saul

Thank you, I think I am leaning towards Saul :)

I quite like Abel. I do associate it with Abel Tasman.

Areallthenamestaken · 10/08/2020 12:41

Saul. I taught a lovely Saul a few years ago and have always liked the name.

elfran · 10/08/2020 16:04

Both great names but I love Saul for you. My primary association is Mandy Patinkin's character on Homeland which frankly is a fantastic one! I also think it goes slightly better with your others, if only because it's another one-syllable name so Jude doesn't feel like the "odd one out" in that way (though I'm sure that's something only I would notice!)

howlathebees · 10/08/2020 17:15

@elfran that is why I lean more towards Saul, so there’s 2 with 1 syllable and 2 with 2 syllables

I prefer Saul after his Damascene conversion.

GypsyRoseGarden · 10/08/2020 17:18

Saul is a lovely name - I would have loved to use it

namechange5175 · 10/08/2020 17:19

Abel. Reminds me of the cute kid in sons of anarchy

howlathebees · 10/08/2020 17:22

Thank you! I think Saul is the one we’re going for
