Is Griffin too odd for a middle name?

Just curious too know if we're setting the child up for teasing and odd looks or if it's cool and interesting.

What could possibly be tease worthy about Griffin?

I can see how a William might get called Willy, but I cannot see any obvious teasing with Griffin.

Please tell me the first name is Peter?

No, I like it. It's perfectly OK for a first name too. I love Griff.

My DS15 is Griffin as his first name. He likes it. No teasing.... except when I took him to the Harry Poter Studios and made him stand by the big door and took a Instagram #GriffinDoor - that annoyed him!

Great name! Why not use it for first name

It's fine. You might wish to avoid it if your surname starts with Dor.

Thanks I feel naming a child is such a huge things especially cos I like my own name so much.

Just make sure that Firstname Surname sounds good, because that is what he'll be called most of his life.

I was at school with someone with the middle name Griffin and I thought it was cool. He was usually called by his full name - think something like David Griffin Smith.

I like it. If you are not sure, but like the sound of it, how about Gruffydd - a great old Welsh name, or Griffith - the longer version of Griff, as in Griff Rhys Jones?

I love the name Griffin. Works well for a middle name and a first name. Think I’d prefer it as a first name though.

It's cute. There's a UFC fighter called Forrest Griffin though so avoid that first name (unless you really like him).
