I would think about the accent though where you live. We’re West Country so it’s pronounced quite harsh here!

Prefer Viola really

My niece's name. Wasn't sure at the time, but it's grown on me.

We are in North West England, so it doesn't sound harsh. I'm very taken with it and had it for years, I can't quite imagine naming her something else.

DH likes it, too. He also likes Kiera. Gosh it's hard naming them

I didn't like it years back, thought it sounded a bit old lady-ish, but with colours - Jade, Amber, Scarlet, Ruby,, Sienna, Coral, etc - being popular with family and friends, yes, I've changed my mind. Violet's grown on me, I do like it. -**
