Nate
Rafe

Middle name will be Peter

For girls I like
Cece, Sienna and Sophia but they don’t fit that well with our surname
Imogen
Betsy
Camilla

Isabella

Thank you Flowers

Nate is lovely. I wouldn't personally use Rafe as whilst it's not common in its own right, there's increasing numbers of Rafferty, Raphael, Ralph etc etc that all seem to go by Rafe or Raffy

How about Cole, Tristan, Chester, Laurie (Laurence), Vinnie (Vincent), Eli, Ellis, Miles or Milo

Whatsyourflava · 05/08/2020 15:21

Imogen would be a lovely choice for a girl. It's numbers have dramatically reduced in recent years and it'll be even further down the charts by the time 2020 stats released

Rafe was one of my favourites but decided on Ray. We also liked Rafferty, Rowan, Arlo, Rufus and Wilbur.

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 05/08/2020 15:51

Thank you for all the suggestions so far. I love Rafferty and Gabriel but I’m not sure I’m brave enough or if DH would agree. I loved Bertie but it was firmly vetoed by him.

How about Robert?

Hear me out! I know it seems a bit plain, but he could be Robbie, Bobby or Bertie as a little boy, Rob or Bob as an adult and Robert at work. I love it and quite fancied it for DS, but DH vetoed.

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 05/08/2020 16:56

I don’t love it.
I’m struggling with not having a name “grab” me. It feels like such a big decision I want to feel like I did with DS where I just could imagine any other name for him.

Oh thought of another:

Felix?

istheresomethingwrongwithme · 05/08/2020 17:00

You have some of my ultimate favourite girls names there! If we'd had a little girl she'd have been Pippa hands down, but we also liked Imogen and Camilla from your list. Others we liked were Martha, Annie and Rosie.

I've always found boy names hard - and I have two of them! Some ideas - Hugh, Toby, Angus, Felix?

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 05/08/2020 17:11

I always think of a cat when I think of felix Blush
I love Toby but DH vetoed Hmm

Could you use Nathaniel and nickname to Nate? Nathaniel Peter is wonderful.

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 05/08/2020 19:25

Yes I think Nate would be a nn

Sorry thank you for so many suggestions. Some were names I’ve liked but can’t use for one reason or another but so grateful for all the ideas. Especially the girls names. I’d love a real “wow that’s so pretty” name Grin

My LG is Cerys Elizabeth and we shorten that to Cece. I really like Cece as a nickname but felt they needed a 'proper' name too.

Others we considered were Cecily and Catherine.

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 05/08/2020 20:17

I was thinking cecelia that could be shortened to Cece but our surname is a ‘S’ sound so I’m thinking will it all be a bit much?
