We keep changing our mind on boys names......current shortlist is
Henry

Alexander
Ezra
Caleb
Middle name will be Thomas. What are people’s suggestions/thoughts?

I like Alexander, with Xander as a nickname x

Teacher12345 · 29/07/2020 19:26

Alexander is the only one that goes well with Thomas in my opinion.

userabcname · 29/07/2020 19:27

I like Alexander best too! I also like Caleb.

Oneandabean · 29/07/2020 19:28

Henry definitely, such an underused name

Cbeebiesrehab · 29/07/2020 20:15

Disagree that Henry is underused as it ranks 13th on the ONS and I know a few but it’s my favourite from your list. Also like Alexander nn Xander

PixieDust1986 · 29/07/2020 20:18

I like Alexander best from your list.
We have chosen Thomas as our first name and considered Henry as the second. Until husband pointed out that they are both names from Thomas the Tank. Not sure if that would bother you?

PlantPotting · 29/07/2020 20:26

Love all the names on your list! Especially Ezra and Alexander.
If you want suggestions what about
Laurence or Laurie
Nathan or Nate
Barnaby
Peter
Sidney or Sid
Casper
Christopher or Kit

Anappleaday1 · 29/07/2020 20:31

Alexander is my favourite, followed by Theo - I love both. I like Henry too.
I'm not keen on Caleb or Ezra personally, but they are perfectly useable names!

Standrewsschool · 29/07/2020 20:34

Alexander and Caleb are my favourites from you list.

Alternatives:
Zachary

Sunshines123 · 29/07/2020 20:42

I like Henry the best 😊

howfarwevecome · 29/07/2020 20:43

Alexander Thomas sounds the nicest. And as people have said, you've got good nn options.

istheresomethingwrongwithme · 29/07/2020 20:50

100% Alexander Thomas, I really like that.

In fact I almost had one myself, but he ended up as Edward Thomas. It was a close call though, he just looked more like an Edward but I loved both.

Hortensien · 29/07/2020 20:57

Henry definitely, such an underused name

Not really underused HmmGrin

Anyway, I like Caleb and Ezra best!

LarkDescending · 29/07/2020 21:01

Alexander. Love it.

JacquelineLadyBugg · 29/07/2020 21:09

Henry is my favourite. Henry Thomas is lovely, but you might want to double check if both are the names of thank engines, if you think that might bother you.

I also like Ezra and think Ezra Thomas has a lovely sound.

JacquelineLadyBugg · 29/07/2020 21:10

Tillygetsit · 29/07/2020 22:41

I'd choose Caleb Thomas.

howfarwevecome · 30/07/2020 00:00

I actually know a fair few primary school aged boys called Henry.

ParsleyPot · 30/07/2020 00:14

Alexander

Iwalkinmyclothing · 30/07/2020 00:17

Alexander. One of mine has a European variant of that name and I always loved Thomas, although DH refused to use it.

RiverWest · 30/07/2020 02:05

My boys names are Benjamin, Mckenzie and Christopher :-)

Chloethemummy · 30/07/2020 20:04

Hi and congratulations on your little one,
My favourite out of your lists would definitely be Theo, it’s such a sweet name and nearly one of my boys names!
I have 4 year old identical twin boys called Remi and Riley and I love those names so much, they would sound great with Thomas as a middle name. I’m also pregnant with another set of twins who we found out where identical twin girls but our boy names where going to be Carson and Cooper which also go really nice with Thomas as a middle name.
Congratulations again and good luck 😊

steppemum · 30/07/2020 20:12

I think the best together is Alexander Thomas, but really you rarely say them together so go for your favourite first name.
Most of them work with Thomas.

I find Henry excrutiatingly boring compared to the others on your list, but that's just me.

I don't think Theo Thomas works at all, even though Theo is a great name

123Dancewithme · 31/07/2020 00:19

I don’t like the “der T” part of AlexanDER Thomas. I just hear “dirt”

I like Henry Thomas or Caleb Thomas best.
