Same name ?

We are having a DS. Do you think it’s ok to call our DS the same name as my sisters BIL. So my nephew would have a uncle and a cousin ?

Yes, I think that is totally fine.

I'm to tired to understand the relationship but its probably ok. Just they might think you have named your baby in his honour....or that he is secretly the dad!

I've got a (female) cousin and an uncle with the same name as each other - they're uncle and niece. I also have a cousin with the same name as my dad. Honestly it's fine!

To me, it would also depend on how common the name is.

2 James’ - not an issue. 2 Dante’s - probably a bit more unusual.

What's the name? If it's a name like Oliver I'd say it's fine. If it's a much more unusual name like say Clarence (when there's 2/3 babies given this name per year in total) then maybe I wouldn't? What name are we talking

I think it's fine. I have a cousin (on my mum's side) with the same name as my dad, no one found it strange.

Two of my GSs share the same name - no problem for any of us - why would there be? We all know which is which!!
