So we are going around in circles (still, I know!). I think we have reached the final name:

Drew Alexander

What do you think?

Love Alexander not sure on Drew it sounds a bit unfinished and different genre to Alexander but that is just my opinion x

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 28/07/2020 12:52

I love them both separately and in vibe, but I don't think the sound they make together. It's too D heavy.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 28/07/2020 12:53

I think they sound better as Alexander Drew

FourPlasticRings · 28/07/2020 12:56

Agree that Alexander Drew works better. Though it also makes its own sentence, so I wouldn't use it personally.

Spied · 28/07/2020 12:59

Personally I don't like Drew and don't think it does well with Alexander but it's obviously your choice and it's not really terrible or offensive.

BikeRunSki · 28/07/2020 13:00

Andrew Alexander would sound so much nicer. NN Drew.

Lavenderblues · 28/07/2020 13:12

I like Drew.

Middle names never ever get used. So choose your favourite first name!

Rosesarereds · 28/07/2020 13:14

Drew is a great name. Simple, strong and easy to say and spell.

Alexander as a middle name is fine, but I'm not so keen on Alex - we know so many female and male ones.

AnnaSW1 · 28/07/2020 13:43

Love Alexander, Drew sounds chavtastic to me.

IndecentFeminist · 28/07/2020 13:44

Agree that the other way around is better.

Whatsyourflava · 28/07/2020 15:24

I think it's a good choice

Silentfrog · 28/07/2020 15:25

I like it

ladycarlotta · 28/07/2020 15:46

Lovely. I think I remember you posting before? I wouldn't have been sold on Drew until we got a baby one in our family and he is a delight. Drew Alexander sounds great.

BlueJeansBabeh · 28/07/2020 15:47

Hmm interesting you should say about the middle name with it. We were considering not having a middle name at all.

Hope it doesn't sound chavtastic though 🥴

It sounds quite handsome, creative and simple to me but obviously it would as I like it 😂

I don't like drew (sorry) and I think alexander is done to death as a middle name.

That said, if I met a Drew Alexander, I wouldn't raise much more than the tiniest of eyebrow raises. It isn't horrendous by any stretch.

Starlight39 · 28/07/2020 16:16

I really like Drew. I like the flow of the one syllable followed by 4 syllables of Drew Alexander (and love Alexander) but think that because Drew has a soft end to it, it might need a middle name with a harder first letter if that makes sense. I'm not sure what though so that's not much help...!

BlueJeansBabeh · 28/07/2020 18:02

@ladycarlotta I did, yes! I wasn't 100% what to go for but I do really love Drew and I keep coming back to it. It hasn't had great feedback on MN though, I really don't want it to sound chavtastic!

How old is your family member Drew? Is he just Drew?

OP posts:
BlueJeansBabeh · 28/07/2020 18:02

@Starlight39 I see what you mean... I can't think of what flows well with it either hmmmm

YummyInMyTummy · 28/07/2020 18:06

Drew isn’t to my taste, but I think Drew Alexander sounds fine - and sounds better than Alexander Drew, which to me sounds funny with the two Der Dr sounds next to each other. I really like Alexander, good name.

BlueJeansBabeh · 28/07/2020 19:30

I prefer that way around too. Drew feels more individual to me that Alexander too but I liked it in the middle.

Gummibares · 28/07/2020 20:25

Drew is a great name and more memorable than Alex (which he'd probably end up as). I like Drew Alexander!

janetmendoza · 28/07/2020 20:31

Andrew Alexander gives him loads more options

PlantPotting · 28/07/2020 20:44

I think it's nice

Drew Christopher
Drew Winston

BlueJeansBabeh · 28/07/2020 21:35

@Gummibares that's exactly why I like it. It's not a current trending/fashionable name and it's memorable (in a good way, I think)

@PlantPotting Thank you, I like both Drew Christopher and Drew Winston. Drew Winston really rolls of the tongue! Great suggest thank you, so let me know if you think of any more.
