Thinking of either Henry or Caleb for DS due in a few weeks. What is people’s favourite?

Caleb. Henry is kind of old.

Onestepup · 22/07/2020 22:20

I prefer Henry, it's a classic. Caleb is clunky sounding.

Littlepond · 22/07/2020 22:20

I adore the name Caleb!

cuntryclub · 22/07/2020 22:21

I think Caleb looks clumsy written down. I really like it as a name though!

Tillygetsit · 22/07/2020 22:24

Caleb. We're snided out with 5 to 7 year old Henrys here.

Shayisgreat · 22/07/2020 22:27

I prefer Henry.

Elouera · 22/07/2020 22:28

I rightly or wrongly assumed Caleb was far more religious sounding.

Henry does sound, old, but also classic. If these are the only options, I'd go with Henry.

DramaAlpaca · 22/07/2020 22:30

Henry

Whatsyourflava · 22/07/2020 22:30

Caleb
Like both though

Caleb

Peachbubble · 23/07/2020 06:55

Henry

sweetnosugar · 23/07/2020 10:31

Adore Henry!

BeMorePacific · 23/07/2020 11:58

I like both, but would choose Caleb. Purely because I think Cal is a great NN x

Whatsyourflava · 23/07/2020 11:58

Has this helped @Thomas17 seems to be quite an even split

emmathedilemma · 23/07/2020 12:23

Henry

Thomas17 · 23/07/2020 12:49

@Whatsyourflava yes it been helpful although looks like 50/50 split....maybe slight edge to Henry. We have thought so much about names now it's a bit of a blurr.

I really like Caleb but the trend for OT names would put me off.

Spidey66 · 23/07/2020 16:43

I love the name Caleb. I think it's unusual enough he'll be the only boy in his class with the name but not so unusual people would struggle with it.

I don't hate Henry, but don't love it either. I automatically think of Hooray Henrys which was an insult for upper class people back in the day (a kind of stereotype of the likes of the Bullingdon Set.)

Temple29 · 23/07/2020 16:44

I have a Caleb and love it obviously. Really suited him when we saw what he looked like so that could be your deciding factor?

Spidey66 · 23/07/2020 16:45

9-7 to Caleb! Close call, so far.

Spidey66 · 23/07/2020 16:46

10-7 now that Temple's posted.

Mishmased · 23/07/2020 16:57

Caleb! Might be on our list if bump is male.
