I have always been one to discuss and choose baby names and have a had a possible baby names list on my phone for as long as I can remember. Now that I need to pick one for real all names are ‘meh’. DP has a common surname (Clark). Please help inspire me! Boy and girl names please as we will not be finding out sex.

Thank you for suggestions. I really like Ewan, Jeffrey and Jocelyn. None of them are ‘the one’ though.

Do you ever know when it’s the one? Or do I have too high of an expectation for a feeling of when I see the name will know?

• One thing I would try to avoid is a first name that could be a surname (eg Harrison Clark) - Clark is becoming more popular as a first name & it will get switched around at the worst time if you aren’t careful. I would stick with quite conventional names if it were me ...

Clark is a fab surname it fits with virtually any name.
