I think we are set on Rosa, thanks for the feedback on the other thread!

Opinions on a middle name?

Rosa Autumn
Rosa Ava
Rosa April

Any other suggestions?

I don't know anyone who actually uses their middle name (except where they use it instead of a first name) I think middle names should have a personal connection so go for something that has meaning.

The double A is really hard to say (ending in A, beginning in A)

Thisonemaybe · 19/07/2020 00:02

Autumn is pretty.

Rosa Lynn
Rosa Lily
Rosa May
Rosa Jane
Rosa Belle
Rosa Beth
Rosa Florence

I'd choose a middle name that starts with a different letter and doesn't end with 'a' as it'll flow better.

Autumn and April go best, not Ava.

I really love babyspider's suggestions of Rosa Jane or Rosa Florence.

Rosa Colette
Rosa Phoebe
Rosa Penelope
Rosa Jasmine
Rosa Beatrice
Rosa Maude
Rosa Vivienne
Rosa Joy

Is there a particular reason why you want an A initial? They're all a little tricky to say with the a at the end of Rosa

MikeUniformMike · 19/07/2020 08:19

Rosa Autumn
Rosa Ava
Rosa April

I don't like any of the middle names.
I would avoid a middle name starting with A because of the sneaky r that gets inserted - Rosa Anne will sound like Roseranne.

Angelmonkey · 19/07/2020 08:56

Rosa Madeleine

NameChange30 · 19/07/2020 09:01

Are there any family names you like that don't begin with an A?

I agree with PP that it doesn't work to have the two A sounds together. Rosa Ava in particular is clunky because of all the A sounds. And I wouldn't pick Autumn or April either, I wouldn't pick a season/month to go with a flower name.

Out of PPs suggestions, I like Lucy, Louise, Faye and Florence.

daisypond · 19/07/2020 10:17

Autumn and April sound like Rose of Autumn or Rose of April. Rosa Ava sounds like one word. But it doesn’t really matter, as they are just middle names. I like April a lot.

I agree that middle names beginning with "A" (or any vowel for that matter) won't work because the "a" at the end of Rosa clashes with it. My DD's name also ends in "a" and we had the same problem when thinking of middle names.

I think Rosa May is a pretty combination, despite May being ridiculously popular as a middle name.

How about:

Rosa Faith
Rosa Charlotte
Rosa Caitlin
Rosa Maeve
Rosa Jasmine
Rosa Violet

You can't have a middle name that starts with a vowel after Rosa! Any name that starts with a consonant would be fine.
