We love the name Thea and the middle name would be Joy, it's a family name on my side and I've always wanted to use it so there's no debating that! However Joy and Ball next to each other gets funny looks and I can see why!Blush So please could people suggest a name to go in between Joy and Ball. Thank you💗
PS. I like pretty, feminine, classic names, but my partner doesn't like 'old people' names much and prefers something a bit more unique!

Would one of your or your husband's surnames / previous surnames work? For example Thea Joy Cooper Ball?

Toilenstripes · 15/07/2020 13:23

How are you pronouncing Thea?

Thea Joy Lucy Ball
Thea Joy Daisy Ball

Whatsyourflava · 15/07/2020 13:27

Thea is lovely

How about a longer name like Clementine, Margaret, Elizabeth, Jemima

finallychangedmyusername · 15/07/2020 13:32

I think you need a long, multisyllabic second middle name as all other names are short.

Some suggestions that will hopefully suit you and your DH:

Thea Joy Alexandra Ball
Thea Joy Anastasia Ball
Thea Joy Clementine Ball
Thea Joy Olivia Ball
Thea Joy Felicity Ball
Thea Joy Hermione Ball
Thea Joy Calliope Ball
Thea Joy Seraphina Ball
Thea Joy Eloisa Ball

I really like Thea Joy Olivia. Olivia is such a popular first name, it would be quite nice to see it used in the middle. (Although it may not be unusual enough for your DH?) Thea Joy Eloisa is lovely too.

As above suggested I like the sound of, Thea Joy Olivia Ball.

Lovely name choice btw OP.

My daughter is called Thea, we love it so much, and everyone we meet also comments how lovely it is.
Our Dd middle name is Alys ( welsh spelling of Alice ) I love it!

ShivD · 16/07/2020 22:30

My daughter has Joy as her middle name followed by Elizabeth, she’s Juno Joy Elizabeth.
We wanted the second middle name to be long and also it needed to be traditional as her brothers all have a traditional longer middle name.

Pegaroo · 18/07/2020 07:17

Middle names are so rarely used I wouldn’t even worry.

If you are bothered you could created an elongated version of Joy

Joyhannah
Rosajoy
Joylyn

I think I would just stand proud with just Joy as a middle , it’s such a happy name
