I really like it and think it’s a great name for a boy. Not too popular either, which puts me off Henry. Not adverse associations either.

LordOftheRingz · 12/07/2020 21:18

I love it......but the need to no allow 'mic' is imperative.

I also love Asa and Asher.

daisypond · 12/07/2020 21:19

I prefer Henry. I’m not keen on Micah at all.

17caterpillars1mouse · 12/07/2020 21:28

Love it. I like Henry too but it's very run of the mill whereas Micah is gorgeous and different

Spied · 12/07/2020 21:30

I don't like it.
I know it's not faddy but it does have that vibe imo.

FindMeInTheSunshine · 12/07/2020 21:30

I love it, but while most people pronounce it My-cah some pronounce it Mee-cah, which is your preference? I always thought it was the latter until I heard Micah Richards' name. I like both though

LarkDescending · 12/07/2020 21:33

I’m not keen at all and much prefer the handsome Henry.

ArchbishopOfBanterbury · 12/07/2020 21:40

I love Micah. Henry's cute but Micah's got sass.

winniesanderson · 12/07/2020 21:41

I love it. Either 'my' or 'mee' but think MYcah just edges it for me. I work in childcare and have never come across it in real life. I love names like that, where it's known but unusual.

RuthW · 12/07/2020 21:42

I don't like it. It's too feminine. I know a female Mica.

janetmendoza · 12/07/2020 21:46

Both excellent names -nice choices.

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 12/07/2020 21:50

I could be brown
I could be blue
I could be violet sky....

glisteninginkcap · 12/07/2020 21:54

I love Micah (in my experience it's always pronounced MY-ca).

I don't understand the love and popularity of the name Henry, but each to their own. For me personally, it just makes me think of fat misogynistic kings.

glisteninginkcap · 12/07/2020 21:58

Also, as a side note, this awesome kid is called Micah:

@SmiledWithTheRisingSun

I could be brown I could be blue I could be violet sky....
Lol! Grin
ZoyaTheDestroyer · 12/07/2020 22:21

Love it. Very different to Henry - I don’t imagine they often appear together on naming shortlists.

123Dancewithme · 12/07/2020 22:54

Love it!

DramaAlpaca · 13/07/2020 00:47

It's a no from me. Michael is great, Micah isn't. Henry is much better.

Allmyeye · 13/07/2020 00:58

I thought it was a girls name.

Mrstwiddle · 13/07/2020 01:00

I taught a Micahia...I think it’s a bibilical name, I’m not sure if I’ve got the spelling right either...anyway it’s a nice boys name.

PMTRex · 13/07/2020 01:02

Love the name Micah!

It's v different to Henry though.

BluebirdsCCFC · 13/07/2020 08:28

Micah Richards was first choice right back at Man City for quite a few years. That’s what springs to mind when you say Micah.

Same as @DramaAlpaca said though, I’m not keen on the name, much prefer Michael.

Lottoboyz · 13/07/2020 09:10

I love Micah. I have loved this name since I was about 15. I hope to use this name if our baby is a boy.

DoTheMaccaroni · 13/07/2020 09:34

It’s my favourite name for a girl! I’ll be spelling it differently though Grin

DoTheMaccaroni · 13/07/2020 09:36

@SmiledWithTheRisingSun

That was Mika, not Micah. Mika is pronounced MEEka and Micah is MYka.
