Hello,

We’ve found out dc3 is going to be a boy 😊 we already have a girl and a boy; Matilda and Sebastian (Tilly and Seb), so looking for a boys name with a similar feel.

Surname begins with O, so rules out names beginning with B or F to avoid the initials B.O and F.O.. hadn’t thought anything of F.O until a friend pointed out its an acronym for ‘F* off‘ - is that a thing?!

Top contenders so far are:

Charlie
Zachary

Love Theodore but doesn’t work for nn Theo with the O surname annoyingly!

Thoughts on the above or any other suggestions would be much appreciated, thank you!

Love Zachary - it was in our top two for 2nd boy, but we went with Orson (“Sonny”) which really suits him. We also have a Gabriel (he gets lots of nice comments about his beautiful and surprisingly unusual name)

endlessginandtonic · 04/07/2020 21:17

I like Zachary

I love Theodore and think Ted works well as a nn.

daisypond · 04/07/2020 22:02

I don’t think Charlie fits at all. It’s very childish/nicknamey/cute compared to both Matilda and Sebastian. Zachary is better, but I don’t think it fits very well either

Love Theodore nn Theo! If you have Theodore as bc name, it should work with your surname? And you would have a middle name to ‘break it up’?

Really love Zachary! 😊

Isntshelovelyisntshewonderful · 05/07/2020 19:23

Thank you all so much for your messages 😊 it seems Zachary is getting a lot of love, which I’m delighted about... sadly DH isn’t so keen, but I’ve got a bit of time to try and persuade him!

Also loving Max and Arthur from the suggestions above so they are going on the list, thank you! X

Our dc3 due next month is Zachary middle name William
...gorgeous name . His older brother is called James, and his sister has an unusual Irish name but it just works!

So many Zacharys around atm. I wonder whats spiked its popularity

TheVanguardSix · 24/07/2020 19:22

Nicholas, Nikki is lovely.

It is a good name. I know two who both go by Nico, which sounds nice with Tilly and Seb.
