could I ask your thoughts on Audrey please?

Absolutely love it (DS name)

To me it's a very elegant and sophisticated vintage name.

I love the name, I think it is lovely.

I do also know a little girl called Audra, which I also like.
It feels a bit more modern sounding than Audrey to me (perhaps because of the popular ‘a’ ending names at the moment)

It's a fabulous, sassy, sophisticated name - I really like it.

Blimey! I'm surprised at the positive votes for Audrey...it's my middle name and I've always hated it! Probably cos I grew up in the 70s and my friends always sniggered at it as it was so old fashioned. I'm really pleased it's feeling the love on here . I know older names have become fashionable...but I never thought Audrey would be remotely popular!!

Not many children will know the film so maybe she will escape teasing etc but if you didn’t know, it’s the main characters name from Little Shop of Horrors. The girl and the killer plant are both called Audrey.

There’s quite a few lines and songs about the name that aren’t that great.

“Audrey 2 isn’t a healthy girl”
“Between me and you neither is Audrey 1”

Sung in suggestive way “How bout that Audrey?”

Audrey herself sings “I’d meet a man and I’d follow him blindly, he’d snap his figures and I’d say sure”

If you know that already and are cool with it, it’s obviously your choice and the name itself is nice, but it’s just the things that could get said and sung to her for the rest of her life.
