@helpasisout the first name to come to mind in line with the one syllable theme was Kitt.

BellaVida · 25/06/2020 09:48

The first names which came to mind when I read your DC names were Emmett for a boy and Ashley for a girl. No idea why!

thank you very much for the suggestions.

Blythe sounds lovely, is the "th" soft like Edith or like the sound in "the" like a Z sound almost?

@Edenember that's really helpful I like the idea of using more than one syllable.

would you think Audrey would go or is it too much of a mash of styles?

OP posts:
Edenember · 25/06/2020 14:02

@helpasisout I think it would work, its not for me personally but I certainly don’t think it jarrs with the other names too much. also Enid, Elspeth. What style of name do you tend to prefer for girls?

helpasisout · 25/06/2020 14:13

@Edenember I don't know why I really like Audrey. I tend to prefer shorter names for girls. I like Faith but can't use, also like Joy, Blythe.. I don't think I could explain a style but I like something smart sounding but not a name that's likely to explode any time soon.

Spoke to DH about the suggestions. None are jumping out at him unfortunately, even though there were some that I loved. We have to agree on them so I'm not pushing the ones I love.

Does anyone have any more suggestions for us please?

What sort of names does your H lean toward?

I assume Drew and Rafe, but is there any other name he liked when you were naming DCs 1 and 2?
