Hi!

I’m 38 weeks pregnant 🤰🏼 with a little girl and we’re really struggling with names 😩
We have two boys called Ralph and Jude so need something that will go with their names.
We really like Bonnie but someone I work with named her baby Bonnie today and now I really don’t feel like I can have it 😢
My son likes Mabel but other than that we’re stuck. Please help!! x

Mabel is fabulous and great with your boys names !

Tootletum · 24/06/2020 23:36

I think a slightly trad name might be nice. Mabel I find a bit old fashioned although I know it's very now.
Miriam? Maria? Sophia?

Peaseblossom22 · 24/06/2020 23:37

I would stick with Bonnie but other options to go with your boys names which have a bit of a thirties vibe and are gorgeous could be

Meredith (Merry)
Genevieve
Emmeline
Hester
Iris

Esmee or estee are pretty and go or even esther

Sweetaholic · 25/06/2020 00:32

Choose Bonnie if you really like it don’t let it worry you that your co worker has chosen it. I’d prefer Mabel though out of the two. I like the sound of Ralph, Jude & Grace.

Whatsyourflava · 25/06/2020 03:01

Bonnie and Mabel are both gorgeous names and it's totally fine to still use Bonnie

How about Martha? Margot? Clementine? Delilah? X

sibbys · 25/06/2020 08:38

I like Ralph & Jude. For girls I like:
Martha
Penny
Maxine
Indie (although it doesn't go with Ralph and Jude imo)
Alice
Matilda

My DD is called Bonnie and she's 10. It's a beautiful name.

sweetnosugar · 25/06/2020 09:08

Mabel is gorgeous!

elfran · 25/06/2020 10:12

Personally I love Mabel (not sure why she might not like it as a teenager, surely the same could be said for Bonnie or any other name??), but Bonnie is also great and I see no issues with your colleague using it. You're unlikely to work together forever, and even if you do, who cares? You love it and it goes well with your sons' names (both of which I love, btw).

chubbyhotchoc · 25/06/2020 11:11

Connie?

Edenember · 25/06/2020 11:31

@Meghann32 if you love it I’d go for it, although as others have said if it were me I’d be worried about the teasing potential if she wasn’t. I wouldn’t be at all concerned about the colleague though. Have you considered Betsey? Many find it too cutesy but I think it’s gorgeous.

SoftBlocks · 25/06/2020 11:35

Poster up thread suggested Wren which is lovely and goes with Ralph and Jude very well IMO.

Not that keen on Bonnie but she’s your baby!
There are quite a few Mabels around these days.

Mish85 · 25/06/2020 11:36

Love Mabel and Bonnie. Both on my list for dd but ended up going with a family name. Also like Pearl, Wynn, Florence, Mavis, Hazel, June and Margot.

What about carlie?

Edenember · 25/06/2020 14:09

@Meghann32 that’s a shame, I think it goes really well with your other names. Bonnie is nice, if you love it go for it. I also like Elspeth.

Bonnie is nice. Also Connie

autumnkate · 26/06/2020 14:23

Annie?

user1493494961 · 26/06/2020 21:36

Mabel is lovely and goes well with your boys' names. I'm not keen on Bonnie, it doesn't seem a name for a adult somehow, I think your colleague's done you a favour.

twinboymumma · 26/06/2020 21:39

I always liked the name Darcy - I think that would work really well with your boys names.
