Does FHA mean anything bad? I can't think of anything but want to check before we settle on a name in case there is something we haven't thought of.

Quick google doesn't bring up anything bad
(Federal Housing Administration and Freelance Hairdressers Association) It's not something I attribute any meaning to myself.

I think you're safe!

babycakes1010 · 23/06/2020 17:34

I have a BMW so I wouldn't worry about it lol

BMWL · 23/06/2020 17:38

My google search just brought up federal housing association, seems to be an American thing

Otherwise nothing else comes up - I think you're good to go ahead with the name!x

A relative has B.O, so always check first and last as well as including middle names.

So yours is FA which can be short for Fxxk all, but to be honest I don't think it's that commonly used?

daisypond · 23/06/2020 18:21

F.A - fuck all.

SavoyCabbage · 23/06/2020 18:23

Sweet FA.

Racoonworld · 23/06/2020 21:27

I had though of FA as a potential problem but I've never really heard it used as the abbreviation, just the full thing. Would that put you off?

Yes. Your first and last initial are used to get far more in life than all three together. My children have all sorts of school passwords for different things in lockdown assigned to them by school and nearly all of them are based on their initials.

whatausername · 24/06/2020 01:31

No, FA wouldn't put me off. It's NBD, there are abbreviations for everything these days and FA doesn't spell something rude itself. It's merely possible for it to stand for something else if you see what I mean. And I don't think FA is especially common anyway, it's not like BJ.

Fifthtimelucky · 24/06/2020 07:00

I wouldn't have done it, but I think using FA rather than the longer version is much more common in the older generation (in which I include myself).

I trust that the FA would not stand for Fanny Adams! Have just been reading about the murder of sweet Fanny Adams. Absolutely hideous.

SnowdropFox · 24/06/2020 09:02

I wouldn't have thought if f all but even then it doesn't bother me at all.
