Girl names not ending in “y” “a” or “Er” to go with

Surname Coo per (space was deliberate)

Names like Harper and Piper definitely out and I even find Ava and Isla don’t quite go, it seems like I trip over my tongue when forename/surname are said together.

As a rule I don’t like “y” or “ee” sounding names with the exception of Lucy, Phoebe and Ruby. Those have all been vetoed for various reasons, with the exception of Ruby; however middle name will be Rose to honor both grandmothers. Is Ruby Rose a bit too much? It is isn’t it?

Was thinking potentially names ending in M or N ... or another consonant.

Personally not keen on “ette” names or “Elle”

Discounted so far:

Tatum
Payton (apparently too close to Satan)
Morgan
Teagan
Any ette endings

What a pain I am... please do your worst Grin

I think either one or three syllables with "Cooper" sound better than a two-syllable first name.. Not sure I could say why, though!

Chloe is nice too if you like Zoe.

If Rose wasn't your middle name choice I would have suggested Rosamund and Rosalind.

Jasmine is lovely

Feedback from oh is that the following can go on the list:

Jasmine Rose (is this like jasmine rice at a glance?)
Florence Rose (too flowery?)
Elowen Rose
Teagan Rose
Isobel Rose
Ruby Rose
Evelyn Rose

So thanks for your suggestions, really helpful

It's Tegan, isn't it?

Changedname81 · 16/06/2020 17:53

I believe Tegan is Welsh and Teagan is Irish
but am more than happy to be corrected Smile

Pronounced teggan and tea-g’n (not quite a strong enough “gun” sound)

Marianne?
Alice Cooper is actually a lovely name, but....

HeronLanyon · 16/06/2020 18:03

Ooh Catherine sounds good with your middle and (more importantly) surname.
