Marina

What do you think of the name Marina?
It's quite unusual and has an appealing sound. Also, I love everything seaside and nautical. So fits my style well.
The only thing is my son is called Noah. Could I use Noah and Marina?

Thanks.

I think they go lovely together.

Gemma2019 · 15/06/2020 08:36

I love both names and think they go beautifully together.

BarbieandKenBruce · 15/06/2020 08:54

I think Marina is lovely.
Also in a similar vein Meryl means 'of the bright sea' which I've always liked.

Cabin · 15/06/2020 09:27

I like it.

toastofthetown · 15/06/2020 09:38

I love Marina. It's one of my favourite names: beautiful and underused. I think it works with Noah, both have an aquatic theme but I wouldn't have picked that up until I wondered why they might not work together. Noah is such a popular name, that I think people's minds don't immediately leap to flooding.

123Dancewithme · 15/06/2020 10:45

I love it!

babynamelover · 15/06/2020 10:46

I prefer Marin to Marina but I can't see why you can't use it with Noah 😊

sweetnosugar · 15/06/2020 10:54

I like it, it’s similar to ‘Marnie’ a name I have fallen in love with recently!

beguilingeyes · 15/06/2020 10:55

I had an Auntie Marina, she was lovely. It's a beautiful name.

Phoebeboo · 15/06/2020 14:38

Ive taught a little girl called Marina and think it’s a lovely name.
Noah and Marina sound good together.

17caterpillars1mouse · 15/06/2020 18:36

Beautiful name

DramaAlpaca · 15/06/2020 20:45

Yes! That's your best suggestion so far on any of your threads.

AnnaSW1 · 15/06/2020 20:46

I like it because I know a lovely Marina

daisypond · 15/06/2020 20:46

Definitely yes. It’s a fabulous name.

daisypond · 15/06/2020 20:50

Meant to add, I did notice the sea/boat/ark connection, but I don’t think it’s too much. It’s a subtle link, only if you think about it.

finallychangedmyusername · 15/06/2020 21:01

Marina is gorgeous and goes well with Noah, slight nautical link but I quite like that.

TheletterZ · 15/06/2020 21:03

Might be because I sail but this is the equivalent to calling someone ‘carpark’. A marina is somewhere you berth a boat.

Fishfingersandwichplease · 15/06/2020 21:19

First thing l thought of was the marena coil - sorry not overly keen

ttigerlilly · 15/06/2020 21:22

Marina goes nicely with Noah

RickOShay · 15/06/2020 21:24

I really like Marina. Good choice.

tilder · 15/06/2020 21:26

Me too TheletterZ. Not very clean water in a marina.

daisypond · 15/06/2020 21:35

I never think of an actual marina in relation to the name Marina. I know three Marinas -one is Greek, one Spanish and one Russian - so it just seems like a normal, and classy, name to me.

mintich · 15/06/2020 21:36

I love the name Marina and it goes well with Noah

Buttercup77 · 15/06/2020 23:18

Love it! Pretty and underused and goes well with Noah. Water link very subtle most people probably wouldn’t pick up on it

Kokeshi123 · 16/06/2020 01:55

It's a very nice name.
