My first thought was nipples - never heard the name before.

DramaAlpaca · 13/06/2020 16:02

Ariella is pretty and quite frilly so I'd be inclined to go on the classic and/or traditional side for a middle name.

Ariella Jane/Jean/Joan
Ariella Rose
Ariella Mary/Marie
Ariella Grace
Ariella Kate
Ariella Catherine
Ariella Josephine
Ariella Charlotte

I wouldn't choose anything starting with a vowel or ending in 'a', or anything with 'L' sounds.

Thank you so much everyone for your suggestions!
My favourites so far are
Sophia
Eve

However I’m a bit worried that Sophia is too much paired with Ariella?

@wowfudge Ariella is a Hebrew name, and the nipples association doesn’t bother me, they are two separate words. There are many words in all languages that mean totally different things but sound similar. Anyway what is wrong with nipples? They are a totally normal part of life. Grin

I think it's enough on its own. Unless you want a middle name to honour a family member or something, I'm never quite sure why people are so set on them.

wowfudge · 13/06/2020 17:09

Fair enough. It's just that being close to the word areola could lead to teasing and bullying.

FawnDrench · 13/06/2020 17:30

Joy
Maeve
Jane
Genevieve
Sian
Dawn
Bernadette

Thank you so much everyone for the great suggestions! Any other names that sound similar to Maeve? I quite like the hard consonant sound in it contrasting against Ariella, and potentially not ending in an A?

Ariella Eve is my favourite at the moment

I like Ivy and Joy! Short and strong consonants!
