Like William and nn Will but feels a bit too royal.

Thinking of Willem, Wilbur...

What are your thoughts? Also, any other suggestions? Either beginning with Will or something which has similar qualities?

Wilfred

There are so many William's though, from all sectors of society so I don't think it's really a 'royal' name, just like Harry isn't a royal name. If you like William use it.

Wilhelm?

And yes, William is royal, but it’s also half of the name of the second biggest bookies in the country so I’d say it’s a pretty universal choice.

Wilbraham. I've usually heard it pronounced along the lines of will-bram/will-bruhm. I've heard it used as a first name a few times but it's also a surname.

Is Willem not pronounced vill-em?
