Hi!

We are expecting a baby boy.
Originally we decided to name him Ilias Lev (pronounced like Level without el; meaning Lion in Russian and Heart in Hebrew).
How do you like both names and would you rather give Lev as first name and Ilias as middle Name?

Thank you!

I like both names. I think Ilias Lev flows better, but would worry about Ilias being shortened to Ill. Almost everything seems to get shortened, as least for a while.

I like both, maybe Lev a nudge more 😊

I agree that Ilias Lev flows better. Lev is just a bit abrupt to my ears to be a first name, like it should be a longer word.

I think Ilias Lev is better than Lev Ilias, they sort of merge into one big word when you put Lev first. Interesting names, it could grow on me!

It's alright, Lev could be either first or middle name because everyone (on MN Grin ) seems to shorten names anyway.
