Is Ariella strange for a non-Jewish child?

Really hung up on this beautiful Hebrew name, I have a strong affinity for very feminine names as you can see from my previous threads! However, we are not Jewish, so would this be a weird name for a child who is not Jewish? I have read somewhere that Ariel was the old name for Jerusalem, which doesn't bother me at all but would it seem strange to others?

That is great to know, I’m feeling a lot more confident about us going ahead with it! @mamaof2girls Glad to see someone else love this name as much as I do! I think it’s absolutely stunning! The meaning is so powerful as well.

@Pinkblueberry It does have some Disney connotations but I don’t think it will matter much. I think when a face & personality is attached to a name, these associations fade away very quickly, especially once she is an adult Ariella. Glad to hear that you like it! :)
