Help - Girl Name!

Looking for short girl name that is easily pronounced (also in other languages, as I am from Germany, OH is English, but we have family and friends in other countries and would visit frequently). It's important to me that the name can be pronounced and written without too much room for misinterpretation.

At first we were quite set on using my grandmothers name, which is a German name - Mina. I was then however concerned it may be mis-spelt as Meena quite often? Or maybe I'm wrong, so looking for opinions!

What's your thoughts on Mina?

Also, any other suggestions for names that cannot be 'shortened' to anything, and are easily pronounced?

I do like the name Nova but think it might be a bit out there!?

All opinions and suggestions welcome and thank you all in advance! 😊

I love Mina; it's perfect and I would spell it exactly like that if I heard it. You may get Meena occasionally but I think it would be less common than people who get it right.

Nova is nice as well (I rarely like a "modern" name but I do like Nova) however it's more popular than Mina and rising.

Mina hits the sweet spot of familiar-sounding, easily pronounced and spelt, but somehow uncommon.

I like Mina and I would pronounce and spell it like that.
I know several who are of Indian origin and it is pronounced and spelt like that (at least two have the full name Minaxi).
I'm not as keen on Nova; it does remind me of the car.

Mina, anyone familiar with Dracula will know how to spell it.

Thanks everyone! Really helpful and I think we will go with Mina after all. 🙂
