Cube for a boy?

One woman is horrified after she finds out what her husband wants to call their first child.
Opening up on Reddit she said that her husband and his parents are all math geniuses and wanted his name to include some math reference.
Her husband wanted the name ‘Cube.’

What are we all thinking? Unisex name? Unique?

Block.
Trapezium.
Equals.
Theorem.
Hypotenuse.
I mean, the possibilities are endless - unfortunately.

Cube is a bit bland & boring, not as edgy as Dodecahedron, Dode for nickname.

GimmeAy · 02/06/2020 19:00

How are we with Pythagoras?

It’s very edgy.

percheron67 · 02/06/2020 19:06

Mr. and Mrs. Rubik?

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 02/06/2020 19:06

Pythagoras would be great. You could use Pi as a nickname.

LilyMarshall · 02/06/2020 19:08

Very well done! Sadly, there are no clapping emojis on here.

JaneJeffer · 02/06/2020 19:09

Round of applause for @VodselForDinner Grin

Not the same name but only one letter difference. I love the name Cuba and sometimes even wish I had some Polish in me so I could use the name Kuba

Fibonacci? Little Fib for short

DemolitionBarbie · 02/06/2020 19:11

What's wrong with Stephen after Stephen hawking?

OnlyJudyCanJudgeMe · 02/06/2020 19:16

Oh for fucks sake!

thenamesarealltaken · 02/06/2020 19:18

Pi , Pythagoras, Algy , Algebra or Algorithm, Bod, Bodmas, etc... not for me, but I think maybe there are better names than cube

Xiphisternum · 02/06/2020 19:31

Rhombus. A nice strong boy's name.

iklboo · 02/06/2020 19:37

Oh come on haters. Don't be so square. The child could shape the world. All this sphere & anguish. Look at it from their angle. Unless it's trig-erring.

TheThingWithFeathers · 02/06/2020 19:39

I prefer Parallelogram, at least you'd know he wasn't going to be one of four in his class.

CaffiSaliMali · 03/06/2020 08:23

I prefer the Welsh spelling, Ciwb.

My lawyer friend has a DS called Statutory Instrument and a DD named Ultra Vires Grin

BatleyTownswomensGuild · 03/06/2020 10:40

Sounds a bit square to me...:

BatleyTownswomensGuild · 03/06/2020 10:41

Maybe a brother of Oxo?

FawnDrench · 03/06/2020 19:04

Pronounced Queue-bay of course...

MrsAvocet · 03/06/2020 19:09

Strange to name your child after a bike brand. Bianchi or Colnago have a better ring about them.

Ellmau · 03/06/2020 19:41

Pius nicknamed Pi.
