What 3 Girls names wouldn't you choose?

I have 1&2 year old Dds and very rarely see their names suggested on here....Dd2s name has started to appear but only once I've spotted Dd1s...!
What names wouldn't you choose and why?

There’s a reason they’re popular names. They’re lovely. As someone who had to spell out her name for people for years until it eventually became more widely used, there’s nothing wrong with popular.

Penelope, Felicity and Aurelia seem so loved on mumsnet and I think they all sound so fussy and frilly.

Only because I have met awful people with those names and they have put me off them.

Do you think parents reacts against their own names when choosing their child's?

If your name is Lisa/ Claire/ Sarah you call your daughter something long and unusual, but if you were the child of Mary or Sue and she thought she was being edgy calling you Lesley or Lindsay or Willow or Skye you'll go the other way and call your daughter Eva or Olivia...

I would like it but with official name Evelyn or Everleigh.

@Blursula I agree that so many of the girls names that appear to be popular on MN are extremely fussy and frilly. And they have so many bloody syllables.

But obviously fussy and frilly mouthfuls are popular these days.

They’re still lovely though. I don’t think Gertrude has ever been lovely.

Sharon/Sharron I’ve met many and never met a nice one.
Ivy the only plant name I can think of that I don’t like.

My own name - I wouldn’t inflict it on a baby

Any overused or cutesy name like Evie, Ellie, Poppy, Maisie, Lexie, Olivia, Emily etc. I know so so many of them.

Olivia - I don’t understand the love for it! I’ve known of SIX Olivias born in the last couple of years.

Laura - I’ve never met a nice one.

Clara - I think it sounds clunky and old fashioned. I also don’t understand how it’s become ridiculously popular recently.

Lily- half a name- Lilian or Lilianna is ok

Isobel, Isabella and all the others the same ish as too popular
